What an account type actually means

The five names on this page are not five different products. The platform, the instruments and the way an order is placed are the same on all of them. What differs is the pricing plan: where the cost of a trade sits, and how large one lot is.

Every trade carries a built-in cost called the spread — the gap between the price to buy and the price to sell at the same moment. On Standard and Pro that spread is the whole story: nothing else is deducted for opening a position. On Raw Spread and Zero the spread is squeezed close to zero and a separate commission is charged instead. Neither arrangement is free; the money moves from one line to the other, which is why account types are compared by spread and commission together rather than by either one alone.

Standard Cent is the odd one out, and the one a newcomer is most likely to want. It works in cent-sized lots, so the same position size moves the balance by a hundredth of what it would move on a Standard account — small enough that an early mistake costs little, real enough that the decisions feel different from a demo.

The type is chosen when the account is opened and is not a lifetime commitment: an additional account of another type can be opened later in the Personal Area, and several accounts live under one profile and one login.
